I'm pretty sure when this happens you're actually dead, as the resume button check whether you have a running game or not. If the server notices your hp is 0 or below, your current running game gets deleted as it's marked as game over. The real bug in this case is the "freeze" which happens...

This is sadly a known bug. You're right. It will be fixed on next game update as this sadly can't be really fixed at server-level, if not just temporarily.

It's clearly written in the PvP panel, explaining Healing Skills cannot be used in PvP. It also appears during the loading screen from time to time.

There's a chance it would destroy the game's ecosystem as selling, let's say, a Legendary for 500 G could be very dangerous.

Did you try to force close the app and relaunch it?

When this happens, it means the system flagged you as dead. How many times did you revive?
